Free WCAG 2.2 AA checker
Paste a URL, get every WCAG violation in 30 seconds. Real audit by axe-core and Pa11y. Lawsuit-risk score included.
Free, no signup. Powered by axe-core + Pa11y. Result in ~30 seconds.
A WCAG checker scans your webpage against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and tells you exactly which rules fail and which DOM nodes caused the failure. We use the same engines (axe-core by Deque + Pa11y) that ADA-suit experts use, then add a lawsuit-risk score that weights findings by severity, WCAG level, and exposure on high-risk selectors like checkout forms and primary navigation.
FAQ
What is a WCAG checker?+
A WCAG checker is a tool that scans a webpage for violations of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. It looks for issues like missing alt text, low color contrast, missing form labels, and broken keyboard navigation, and reports each violation with the WCAG success criterion it fails.
What WCAG version do you check?+
We check WCAG 2.2 Level A and Level AA — the conformance bar that ADA Title III lawsuits and most procurement contracts cite. We use the axe-core engine (built by Deque) plus Pa11y for color-contrast detail.
Is the WCAG checker free?+
Yes. Public scans are free and unlimited (rate-limited per IP). Paid plans add weekly scheduled scans, a hosted accessibility statement, email digest, and lawsuit-risk tracking — starting at $39/site/mo.
How accurate is automated WCAG testing?+
Automated tests catch about 30 to 40 percent of total accessibility issues — the unambiguous machine-detectable ones. They miss issues that require human judgement (alt text quality, heading meaning). For a defensible audit you want both. Automated tests are still required because they catch the issues most-cited in ADA suits (missing alt text, contrast, missing labels, button names).
How is your WCAG checker different from accessibilitychecker.org or WAVE?+
We share the same axe-core engine, so issue findings are similar. We differ on price and features: $39/site flat (vs $69 to $299 per domain elsewhere), API access included on every plan, lawsuit-risk score (severity × WCAG level × selector exposure), grouped issue rendering, and per-CMS fix guides.
Do I need to sign up to run a scan?+
No. Paste any public URL, get the result. Sign-up is only needed for continuous monitoring and the hosted accessibility statement.
